1. Colorado Rockies starting rotation will finish with a 4.00 ERA

The Rockies have a very young, talented starting rotation, led by 25-year-old Jon Gray. Gray went 10-10 with a 4.61 ERA last season.

He is looking to improve his arsenal. He has a 94-98 MPH fastball and a nasty slider. This offseason, he is looking to add a curveball, which will help keep the ball on the ground in the thin air of Colorado.

This year, Gray will continue to improve and be one of the best pitchers in the organization.

The second man of the rotation is 27-year-old Tyler Chatwood. Chatwood went 12-9 with a 3.87 ERA. He also led the MLB in road ERA at 1.69.

Chatwood’s go to pitch is his sinker. He produces a ground ball rate of 57%, which is exactly what you want at Coors Field.

This year, Chatwood will continue his road dominance, but will also bring his road magic to Coors Field.

The next pitcher in the rotation is 27-year-old Tyler Anderson. Anderson went 5-6 with a 3.54 ERA last season.

Surprisingly he had a better home ERA than his road ERA. This year, his road ERA will drop from 4.71 to 4.00.

Unfortunately, the Rockies lost Chad Bettis as his testicular cancer spread. This means that the final two spots of the rotation will most likely be taken by young pitchers Kyle Freeland and German Marquez.

This year, Freeland and Marquez will far exceed expectations and dominate as rookies.

This season, the Rockies will win the World Series, because their starting rotation will finish in the top 10 with an ERA of at least 4.00.
