2. The Rockies bullpen will finish in the top 15 of bullpen ERA

Finishing 15th (middle of the league) in bullpen ERA isn’t saying much. However, when the Rockies finished dead last in bullpen ERA, it is a significant improvement.

Finishing in the top 15 means improving their ERA from 5.13 to 3.65. This is very possible, given the offseason pick-ups the Rockies added.

This offseason, Colorado GM Jeff Bridich signed Greg Holland, 31, and Mike Dunn, 31.

Holland, Kansas City’s former closer, is coming of Tommy John surgery. However, he will come back without missing a beat.

This year, he will pitch like his two-time All-Star days, which included a 1.44 ERA, 46 saves, and 90 strikeouts.

Former Miami Marlins reliever Mike Dunn went 6-1 with a 3.40 ERA. This signing adds a veteran arm to the bullpen while also bringing in more talent. This year, Dunn will have one of his best seasons yet and be a go to long reliever for the Rox.

The Rockies bullpen will be led by 31-year-old Adam Ottavino. Ottavino is coming off one of his best seasons going 1-3 with a 2.67 ERA..

Ottavino will have his best season of his career and be named an NL All-Star.

The bullpen has some added weapons, but the Rockies will also have to rely on its current pitchers. This year, they will improve and be a solid foundation for the Rox new additions.

This season, the Rockies will win the World Series, because their bullpen is much improved and will finish in the top 15 of bullpen ERA.
