The Colorado Rockies may have an eventful deadline still (what?! Tulo wasn’t enough for you?!), but let’s go back and look at some important links around the club before Friday’s finale.

More from Colorado Rockies News

The Colorado Rockies traded Troy Tulowitzki, and if you don’t know that by now, man, I can’t even help you. You might not be a fan (or have an Internet connection). Are you new here?

Lots of links here about Tulo reaction posts, so expect that (especially if you haven’t read any Tulo reaction posts! They are worthwhile!).

Ok enjoy:

Rockies trade Tulo, break my heart (Rockies Zingers).
Jake Shapiro has a really nice, long, emotional piece about what trading Tulo means for him. His perspective is really different from mine (he’s younger, so experienced Tulo differently as he grew up), and he has a really nice piece here about the emotions for a fan, blogger, follower, anybody after a team trades a guy who’s been around for a decade in the organization.

Have You Heard? Tulo’s A Bird (Miles Long Is The Ranter).
Hey, so, I don’t want to exaggerate, but THIS IS LITERALLY THE SMARTEST THING THAT ANYONE HAS EVER WRITTEN ABOUT ANYTHING, EVER, AND YOU SHOULD BE HONORED THAT YOU WERE ABLE TO READ IT BEFORE IT WON ITS PULITZER PRIZE AND WENT BEHIND A PAYWALL.

The Tulo trade broke my heart (Purple Row).
More of the feels. All the feels. It didn’t really hit me until I saw Tulo in that Blue Jays uniform, to be honest, but then it got me pretty good on Wednesday night.

Like the post mentions, there’s no real good way to trade Tulo (and likely Carlos Gonzalez is coming up next, if he hasn’t already been dealt by the time this post goes up in the morning!), but it was time for the Rockies to do it and really, fully, wholeheartedly embrace the future.

Scouting the prospects in the Tulo trade (Fan Graphs).
Here’s all you need to know about the three guys coming back from the Blue Jays in exchange for Tulo (you know, besides Jose Reyes at shortstop).

I know, y’all. I know.
