The start of the first home game of the 2020 season for the Colorado Rockies has been delayed by weather in the downtown Denver area.

With the San Diego Padres and Colorado Rockies set to meet at Coors Field on Friday night to start a three-game series, the start of Friday’s game has been pushed back thanks to storms that are predicted to move through the Denver area shortly after the scheduled first pitch of 6:10 p.m. (Mountain time).

This will be the first meeting of the season between the Rockies and Padres, teams that entered the weekend with a 4-1 and 5-2 mark, respectively, and sat atop the National League West standings through the early part of the campaign.
