The Colorado Rockies and Texas Rangers square off in the season-opener for both teams on Friday night at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
German Marquez will take the mound for his first-ever Opening Day start for the Colorado Rockies and will be opposed by the Rangers’ Lance Lynn. Last season, Marquez went 7-3 with a 3.67 ERA in 15 road starts, so taking the mound in unfamiliar territory is something that Kyle Freeland told us he believes is right in the comfort zone for Marquez.
The game is scheduled to begin at 6:05 p.m. (Mountain time) and will be broadcast on AT&T SportsNet in the Rocky Mountain region. AT&T TV now offers a subscription that will include ATTRM, but it is $80 per month. You can learn more about it here.
Additionally, the game will be shown on Fox Sports Southwest (where available). According to the Texas Rangers website, Fox Sports Southwest can be found on AT&T U-verse Channel 753 in standard definition and 1753 in HD, DirecTV Channel 676, Verizon FiOS Channel 77, and Dish Network Channel 440 in SD and 9575 in HD.

What is Colorado’s Opening Day lineup?
With the designated hitter in play for the 2020 season, Marquez will not be able to show the hitting prowess that earned him a Silver Slugger in 2018 (hitting at a .300 clip, going 18-for-60). However, it will give manager Bud Black plenty of options to boost the Colorado offense.
With the right-handed Lynn on the mound, here is the 2020 Opening Day lineup posted by Black.
David Dahl (L), CF
Trevor Story (R), SS
Charlie Blackmon (L), RF
Nolan Arenado (R), 3B
Daniel Murphy (L), 1B
Ryan McMahon (L), 2B
Raimel Tapia (L), DH
Sam Hilliard (L), LF
Tony Wolters (L), C
It’s a familiar lineup for Rockies fans. However, newcomers such as Elias Diaz, Matt Kemp, and Chris Owings could see opportunities tonight as well.
