Colorado Rockies injury updates: Trevor Story and Seunghwan Oh
Prior to the Colorado Rockies taking on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the second game of a four-game series on Friday night at Coors Field, Colorado manager Bud Black updated members of the media on two of his injured players.
All-Star shortstop Trevor Story was placed on the injured list on June 20 after he suffered a right thumb sprain in a Colorado Rockies road win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. It was initially thought that Story might miss a considerable amount of time, then reports surfaced that Story might be out the shortest amount of time possible, coming back from the injured list when he was eligible on June 29 (tomorrow).
We now know that Story will play in a game for the Albuquerque Isotopes on Saturday to start a two-game rehabilitation assignment. If all goes well, Story would likely be back in the Colorado lineup when the Rockies host the Houston Astros for a two-game series beginning on Tuesday.

Story has been hitting and fielding in pregame workouts, showing good progress back from the injured thumb. Game action in Triple-A will likely be the final test for Story to rejoin Colorado for five games before the All-Star break.
Part of Story’s rehab assignment came on Friday when he faced Rockies reliever Seunghwan Oh in live batting practice. The work was considered another step in the comeback for both Rockies players.
Oh was placed on the injured list on June 10 (retroactive to June 7) with a left abdominal strain. The 36-year-old right-hander has struggled this season, posting a 9.33 ERA and 1.91 WHIP in 21 appearances spanning 18.1 innings. Additionally, opposing batters are hitting .354 against him this season after he posted a .197 average against in 25 games for the Rockies last season after being acquired in a trade with the Toronto Blue Jays.
He had a particularly tough May, giving up two or more runs in five of his nine appearances in the month.
Oh has not pitched for the Rockies since May 30 and there is no immediate timetable for his return.
