Colorado Rockies-Philadelphia Phillies: Weather updates from Coors Field
The Colorado Rockies and Philadelphia Phillies have had the final game of their four-game series at Coors Field in downtown Denver delayed by rain.
The Colorado Rockies are leading the series 2-1 but Philadelphia is coming off an 8-5 victory on Saturday night that was keyed by Bryce Harper’s three-run home run in the seventh inning. The loss snapped Colorado’s season-high five-game winning streak. It also marked the third time in franchise history that the Rockies (now 8-13 on the season) had won five or more games following a losing streak of eight or more games.
The loss also ended Colorado’s six-game winning streak against the Phillies, tied for the longest winning streak against Philadelphia in franchise history. They are now 8-2 against the Phillies at Coors Field since the start of the 2017 season.

Jon Gray (1-3, 3.42) was scheduled to start the game for Colorado while Jerad Eickhoff is supposed to make his first start of the season for the Phillies.
Trevor Story entered Sunday’s game with a nine-game hitting streak, the longest hitting streak of the season for Colorado. During the streak, the All-Star shortstop has batted .325 with five runs, one double and one homer. He has also tallied four RBI and swiped four bases during the streak.
Easter Sunday started warm and sunny in the Denver area. However, clouds rolled over Coors Field about 90 minutes before first pitch. Rain was expected at some point during the afternoon (as mentioned here by our friends at @RockiesWX). However, the timing and the severity of the rain/storms was still up in the air until the rain began in the Denver area.
This isn’t the first weather issue of the season for the Rockies. They also had the final game of their three-game series against the Atlanta Braves postponed on April 10 due to snow. That game has been rescheduled as a make-up on August 26.
We are in the Coors Field press box and will bring you the latest updates on the delay and when the game will restart. Please keep refreshing this page for the most recent information, which will appear below.
