We are now in the second week of January so spring training is right around the corner so Vegas has updated their odds on the chances of each team making the postseason and winning the World Series but for the Colorado Rockies, there is not much change.

The Colorado Rockies have not had a very active offseason thus far (as Jayson Stark of The Athletic and MLB Network noted on Twitter yesterday in regards to both the Rockies and the rest of the NL West) so you may not be surprised to see very little, or no, change in the Rockies playoff and World Series odds.

With Covers, the Rockies chances to win the National League pennant and the World Series both did not change. For winning the NL pennant, the odds remained at 15/1, which puts them in the middle of the pack in eighth.

For winning the World Series, the Rockies are also in the middle of the pack as they remain at 25/1 odds there, which is tied for 12th best out of the 30 teams. The closest teams ahead of the Rockies are the Phillies at 20/1 and both the Washington Nationals and St. Louis Cardinals, who are both at 15/1.

If you look at OddShark, which shows the odds from numerous different betting sites and compares what odds they have, the Rockies are between +2000 and +3000 for winning the World Series, depending on the site, meaning that if you were to place a $100 bet on them to win the World Series and they end up doing it, you would win between $2000 and $3000 (you can read more about how it works, if you’re interested, here).

As our own Kevin Henry noted yesterday, Vegas is also in the middle ground for the Rockies in regards to wins as well.

However, as we noted back in October just after the completion of the World Series, the Rockies were projected to have 78 wins in 2018 by some outlets and the Rockies, obviously, outperformed drastically as they won 91 games.

As we also noted in that article, ESPN (using SuperBook) reported that the Rockies 2019 chances at winning the World Series were 30/1 so 25/1 from Covers looks to be a little bit more optimistic.
