Starters: Tyler Chatwood (6-10, 4.42 ERA) vs. Seth Lugo (3-2, 4.59 ERA)

What To Watch For: Struggling Offenses Break Out

The Rockies hit .276 in June, which was the worst batting average in a month for the Rox since April.

More from Colorado Rockies News

The player with the most to prove is Carlos Gonzalez. He has been non-existent the entire season. This year could possibly be the worst batting season of his career. He is batting .211 in July and only hit .172 in June. The All-Star break was needed for CarGo and hopefully  he uses the second half of the season as a new start.

The Mets have also hit poorly. They hit .267 in June, but are only hitting .214 in July. Four of their starters are hitting below .240, Jose Reyes (.215), Travis d’Arnaud (.223), Curtis Granderson (.232) and Lucas Duda (.238).

Since both of the pitchers for this game are struggling and are prone to give up some hits, it will be interesting to see if these struggling offenses can find a spark and heat up.

Prediction: Rockies win 7-4
