The Colorado Rockies are in the middle of a tough stretch of games without a day off, made tougher by a doubleheader earlier this week with the Arizona Diamondbacks. (Of course, the Dbacks swept both ends of that doubleheader.)
Now, the club faces off against the San Francisco Giants for four games at Coors Field — and the Giants really need these games after suffering through a brutal series in Los Angeles against the Dodgers, where they lost considerable ground in their chase for an NL West title.
So while these games aren’t necessarily important from the Rockies’ perspective, they are important for the opponents — and the thought of playing spoiler against the Giants must be satisfying for anybody and everybody.
As always, here are your probable pitchers, along with some notes on the Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants.
