The Colorado Rockies have been playing much, much better over the last week or two, winning nine of their last twelve games entering Friday night’s affair with the Miami Marlins. That’s a good thing! After starting 15-25, jumping up to 24-28 before Friday night’s game is a pretty solid comeback on a very small scale.
So, did FanSided reward the Rockies with a big jump in the power rankings? Well… no. And they probably shouldn’t have, either. According to the latest FanSided Power Rankings, the Colorado Rockies are… 26th in the big leagues.
But that’s up three spots from 29th! So that’s something!
Yeah, well. Considering most of the wins over the past two weeks were against the lowly Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies, I can’t argue too much with our friends over at FanSided MLB. I’d love to see them on not-the-last-page of power rankings, but maybe let’s win a couple more games against Miami this weekend before we go there.
The good news? Well, one of the three teams worse than the Rox – the Marlins – is in town this weekend!

Yay! Let’s win some baseball games! I don’t know why I’m using so many exclamation points!
Anyways, there is a point to all this, and I want to hear from you about it — at 24-28 before Friday night’s game, are the Rockies being undervalued among baseball writers? Or is the last two weeks a mirage obscuring a really bad club?
