The Colorado Rockies looked damn good this week, so it’s only fair to shout out the guys who made that possible – in the big leagues and the minors – in this week’s edition of Saturday Shout-outs.

More from Colorado Rockies News

After Saturday’s victory, the Colorado Rockies have guaranteed two series victories this week – and better yet, both are on the road! I know, both the Reds and Phillies are supposed to be as bad as (or worse than) the Rockies, but just let us have this one thing, OK?

Besides the Dodgers come to Denver on Monday and they might very well rip our hearts out from our chests and throw us back into the baseball dungeon again, so, come on, man. Work with me. But I digress…….

Saturday shout-outs, good s*** that happened in the Rockies’ realm this week:

Starting pitching. I see you working, starting pitching. I see you working. Last seven days, starters numbers: six starts (four team victories), 42.2 IP (an average of more than seven innings per start!), 30 hits, 10 walks, 24 strikeouts, 2.53 ERA.

Omar Carrizales. The Asheville Tourists outfielder went 5-for-6 with two runs scored, an RBI, and a walk in Saturday’s South Atlantic League game against the Augusta GreenJackets. He’s now hitting .378/.423/.489 on the season.

This post about the Phillies’ new low. It’s May, dude. It’s MAY.

The Albuquerque Isotopes. After finally coming home from a long and difficult road trip, the club has blasted home runs and big offense to beat the Omaha Storm Chasers three times in ABQ. Read on.
