Great news from the staff here at Rox Pile! After wonderful work from our former editor, Hayden Kane, Rox Pile has a new editorial staff and leader, and we are moving forward this summer to cover the Colorado Rockies! Join us:

We are Rox Pile (but we hope you knew that already…) and you can tweet us @RoxPileFS.

I’m Bobby DeMuro, your new editor. I’ll be covering lots of breaking news, trades (and rumors), game recaps, and day-to-day stuff. If it has to do with the Rockies, I’m on it. You can tweet me @BobbyDeMuro.

More from site news

Andrew Dill is back this summer, and he’ll have the lockdown on analysis and editorials. If it’s a new perspective on Rockies baseball, and everything that entails, Andrew will be on it. Follow him on Twitter @PurpleRocktober.

Michelle Stalnaker returns this summer and will be droppin’ knowledge about everything Rockies (and yes, she still feels bad about the fact that Jhoulys Chacin was released. We all do. Happy trails, Jhoulys. Get healthy.) Follow Michelle on Twitter @rockieswoman1.

Connor Farrell comes back, which is actually a big deal, because after he argued his case for Dinger to remain a mascot, we should have fired him. But we didn’t. That may come back to bite us, but he’s pretty funny, and smart (we’ve gotta give him that.) You can tweet him @connordoinwork.

We’ll include other writers as the season progresses. Actually, now that I think of it, if you want to write for us, you should apply here and let us see what you’ve got. We want you to join our team!

Basically, we are going to cover the Rockies, but as you know if you’ve been reading FanSided before, we’re not going to have a beat reporter covering the team. We’ve got no play-by-play and color guy in the booth every game. We can’t interview players every night, or talk to the Monforts about the long-term plan. That’s not us.

What we will do is give you an interesting, original, and sometimes brutally honest perspectives about the Rockies. We love this team, but at times, we are frustrated with the direction of the club; we’ll be honest about the good, and the bad, and the whatever-it’s-cool-at-least-Tulo-is-playing throughout the season.

Join us. Tweet us (@RoxPileFS). Facebook us (Like us here). Our community is better if you’re involved, and we can’t wait for Opening Day!
