The Colorado Rockies took two of the three games in their series with the Chicago Cubs to start off their homestand and they will finish their homestand up with the Miami Marlins this weekend.

Myself, my co-expert Kevin Henry, and Rox Pile contributor Duane DaPron give some of our thoughts on what we saw in the series with the Chicago Cubs and what we are going to be looking for in the series with the Miami Marlins.

In the podcast, we talk about some of the hot hitters for the Rockies right now, including Brendan Rodgers, and some recent comments about Trevor Story and what he may be like for the rest of the 2021 season.

This series with Miami will be crucial as the Marlins, despite being a last-place team, have one of the best pitching staffs in the National League. After the series, the Rockies will have a very difficult road trip ahead as they will face the Houston Astros and San Francisco Giants. Entering Friday, the Astros and Giants have the best records in the American and National Leagues.

The three of us also talk about some of the recent news and notes in baseball recently and our thoughts on them, including the 2022 schedule.

We also tease some Colorado Rockies site news for the past as well as the near future

A big thank you to everyone that came on our site and listened to our podcasts last month, as we eclipsed every goal that we could have asked for, both with the podcast and the site.

Many Colorado Rockies fans ended up being disappointed as the Rockies ended up being, by and large, inactive at the trade deadline. However, there were a lot of rumors in the month of July.

Also, we tease some of what will be coming up for us in the near future. This season, in addition to being at dozens of Rockies home games, Rox Pile has made sure to extend our coverage to road games for both the Rockies and their minor league teams.

Rox Pile has been to Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Triple-A Albuquerque, High-A Spokane, and Low-A Stockton (to talk to the Fresno Grizzlies) and we will be traveling more in the coming weeks as well.
