Colorado Rockies: Bettings odds for Friday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks
The Arizona Diamondbacks will face the Colorado Rockies in the first of a three-game series on Friday at Coors Field to wrap up the Rockies homestand. The Diamondbacks are the worst team in the National League with a 41-81 record but they have played much better recently.
They have six out of their last seven games as they went 6-1 in their homestand with the reeling San Diego Padres and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Rookie Tyler Gilbert will make his second MLB start for the D-Backs and Austin Gomber will return from the paternity list and start against Gilbert for the Rockies. Gilbert has not allowed an earned run in his four MLB appearances and in his only MLB start, he threw a no-hitter against the Padres.
Gomber was rocked in his last start in San Francisco as he allowed five earned runs in four innings against the Giants. Gomber has allowed 46 earned runs all season in 20 starts and 14 of those 46 earned runs have come in his two starts in San Francisco.
