All three games will be day games

Today’s game will start at 2:35 PM M.T. and the following two games will have start times of 2:05 PM M.T.

That’s good news for the Rockies offense as in 2020, they played much better in day games.

Here are their day/night splits in 2020.

  • 2020 Night: 40 games played, .249/.303/.394, 95 tOPS+ (five percent worse than their total offensive stats on the season)
  • 2020 Day: 20 games played, .273/.326/.426, 110 tOPS+ (10 percent better than their total offensive stats on the season)

In 2019, the Rockies were just about even with their splits offensively (100 tOPS+ at night and 99 tOPS+ in day games) and their pitching was just about even in both 2020 and 2019.

The Rockies will have ten games in the books after the series and then, they will face the Dodgers in Dodger Stadium for the first time in 2021.
