For April Fools’ Day, MLB Network created a commercial with Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story.

Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story was featured in an April Fools’ Day commercial for MLB Network alongside former three-time All-Star pitcher Dan Plesac and current MLB Network analyst.

Story and Plesac did the commercial on Story’s base-stealing prowess. Plesac asks him if stealing makes him feel guilty and Story responds by saying “not at all.” Story then starts to steal different pieces of Plesac’s suit, starting with his tie, his coat, and then finally, his pants.

You can watch the entire commercial below.

Story, 27, has stolen 50 bases in the past two seasons as he has been close to being a member of the 30-30 club in each season. In 2018, he hit 37 home runs and had 27 stolen bases and in 2019, he hit 35 home runs and had 23 stolen bases.

While there are no games currently being played, in Baseball Reference’s simulation for the 2020 season, alongside Out Of The Park Baseball 2021, Story already has two stolen bases in just seven games. For a full 162 game season, that would put him on pace for 46 stolen bases for the 2020 season. However, Story is struggling at the plate with a .179/.226/.357 slash line with one home run and three runs batted in.

For each active player profile on Baseball-Reference, you can check out their simulated stats at the top of their page.

FanGraphs, however, projects a lower stolen base total for Story in 2020. They project him to have only 20 stolen bases in around 150 games.

Story may only have 20 stolen bases in 2020 if the entire 162-game season isn’t played but if the entire season is played, he will likely have more. If he has anywhere between 18 and 35 stolen bases in 2020, Story will go from 12th on the Rockies all-time stolen base list up to 8th, passing Matt Holliday, Eric Young Jr., DJ LeMahieu, and Dexter Fowler.

The Rockies all-time stolen base leader is Eric Young Sr., with 180. Story has 65.
