The Rockpile Talkpile is back once again with another good Colorado Rockies podcast, this week going in-depth about games and players alike.

This episode from the Colorado Rockies Subreddit includes Zach, Jason and guest host Ian. Easter was just this past Sunday and one of the reasons why main host John was actually missing. They go over Easter traditions and if any of them have some for the secret holiday. One ate biscuits and gravy courtesy of his mother while the others had his mind on baseball.

More from Rox Pile

The hosts do a deep dive into Colorado’s series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. They go on to talk about how German Marquez, who gave up one unearned run in the desert, had a good outing. This game gives Rockies fans a sense of optimism after losing the series 2-1 in the D-backs favor. The hosts keep the air light with a sense of positivity as they talk the good takeaways from the series.

Charlie Blackmon‘s name does come up as he led the Rockies to their 2-1 victory in the final game with his home runs. It’s important to mention that all of his hits during that series were home runs. High praise goes to Blackmon, who has not slowed down from last season’s historic pace.

The hosts then pivot toward the pitching of the series and what happened, mentioning the amount of walks the Rockies gave up in just three games. It’s also worth saying the Colorado Rockies gave up 17 runs during this series as well.

Next: What went wrong in the 8-4 loss to the Padres

The Rockpile Talkpile then moves on to series predictions for the Rockies against the San Diego Padres. The series is currently tied at one game a piece as the Rockies gave the Padres their first win of the season. Last night, we were all taken aback by Christian Villanuevea.
