More from Rox Pile

This really shows how fierce the competition is for the Rockies. We all know their super bullpen will dominate this year, but that can’t just be it.

These six teams don’t depend on just one part of the team, but the entire team. Offense, defense, and pitching all come into play for these teams which make them so good and why they can contend year in and year out.

There are even other teams that could be a threat to the Rockies. The St. Louis Cardinals were only four games back of the Rockies for the second National League Wild Card spot and they acquired Marcell Ozuna from the Marlins, and he had 37 home runs and 124 RBI for the Marlins last season. Other American League teams like the Cleveland Indians, who won the American League Central with 102 wins last season, the Boston Red Sox, who won the American League East with 93 wins, the New York Yankees, who won 91 games last season and acquired 2017 NL MVP Giancarlo Stanton from the Marlins, and the Minnesota Twins, who won 85 games last year and have made improvements this offseason.

In order for the Rox to prosper the way GM Jeff Bridich wants them to, it may be time to sit back and take some notes. Of course, that’s not what you want to hear being said about the Rockies but in order to have a winning team, observing your opponents may have the greatest outcome so the Rockies can be on the top of the mountain at the end of it all.
