So how are the Colorado Rockies doing so far in the offseason? Are they making steps toward another “Rocktober” appearance in 2018? We know how we may feel locally, but we wanted to reach outside of Colorado and get a national perspective on Colorado’s offseason moves so far.

With that in mind, we connected with our old friend Chris Cotillo from MLBDailyDish.com and an MLB reporter/insider with SBNation. You can follow him on Twitter by clicking here. This is the third appearance from Cotillo on one of our podcasts and we always value his opinion and viewpoints.

Cotillo was present at the recent Winter Meetings in Orlando so we asked him his perspective on what he saw from Colorado general manager Jeff Bridich and what he is hearing about the Rockies from other general managers. Additionally, we wanted to get his perspectives on Colorado’s blueprint for a better bullpen, signing Wade Davis and Bryan Shaw and re-inking Jake McGee. What grade would he give the Rockies so far this offseason? We asked him that question.

We also wanted to ask him perspective on a number of other issues, including…

Do the Rockies need to acquire another bat this offseason or is there lineup “good enough” as is?

Where does he see the market for some of the unsigned 2017 Rockies including Carlos Gonzalez, Greg Holland and Mark Reynolds?

Are the Rockies done making moves or does he see Bridich still working some magic before spring training?

What is the real market for Charlie Blackmon if the Rockies decide they can’t re-sign him?

These and many more questions were asked and answered on our podcast and we thank Cotillo for his time and expertise. To listen to the podcast, just click here. Don’t worry, the link will open another window so you won’t lose your place on this page.
