What To Watch For: Very Few Hits
Friday’s night game should be a classic pitchers duel.
Gray has looked solid since his return from his foot injury. In his last outing, he won against the Cincinnati Reds going five and two-thirds with eight hits, two earned runs and five strikeouts. Gray will look to continue his success.
deGrom is red-hot. He has won his last five outings. In his last game, he beat the St. Louis Cardinals, going seven innings with eight hits, four earned runs and five strikeouts.
Expect some incredible pitches with plenty of strikeouts. Both offenses are struggling, so don’t expect many hits and few runs.
Prediction: Mets win 3-2
