Colorado Rockies Announce 2017 Spring Training Schedule
With the hiring of new manager Bud Black, free agent signings Ian Desmond and Mike Dunn, and a potent offensive lineup, there’s a lot of excitement building for the upcoming Colorado Rockies season. Before the 2017 campaign opens on April 3 in Milwaukee, there will be plenty of opportunities to check out the team in sunny Arizona during spring training.
The Rockies have announced their 34-game 2017 Cactus League schedule. The schedule features 17 home games and one road game at the award-winning Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. The 2017 Cactus League season will be the club’s seventh year at the shared Spring Training facility with the Arizona Diamondbacks on Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community land near Scottsdale.
Colorado opens their Spring Training schedule as the visiting team against Arizona at Salt River Fields on February 25, the ninth consecutive season that the Rockies will open their Cactus League slate against the Diamondbacks. The Rockies will conclude their 2017 Spring Training Schedule with a home game against the Seattle Mariners on April 1.
