Let’s Meet The Rangers

Since we don’t see them very often, let’s get to know the Texas Rangers ahead of this interleague three-game series at Coors Field:

Monday morning Rangers update (Lone Star Ball).
That’s a decent place to start on the Texas Rangers of July 20, 2015 — especially since we don’t really see them very much (at all) during the year (ever, besides Spring Training).

What can the Rangers do? (Nolan Writin’).
Like I had mentioned, the Rangers have hit the skids a little bit the last couple weeks. Our buddies over at Nolan Writin’ discuss what the Rangers could/should do to right that ship in the AL West.

Martin Perez to make his first start Friday (Nolan Writin’).
That’s obviously a story from a few days ago (Friday, July 17), but it’s worthwhile because Perez is scheduled to make his second start of the year this week against the Rockies.

Nick Martinez in, Wandy Rodriguez out (Dallas Morning News).
More stuff about the Rangers’ starting pitchers — the Rockies will see Martinez in this series, too. Rodriguez had been throwing fairly well for the Rangers for a little while this season after being released by the Braves in Spring Training.

Dallas Keuchel blanks Rangers, tempers flare Sunday (Sports Illustrated).
The Rangers’ most recent game included Keuchel’s phenomenal start — and shutout — and some flared tempers in a testy game between them and the Houston Astros.

Ok. Rockies, Rangers, it all starts tonight. Rockies are 90 games into the 2015 season and it’s already July 20. Where the hell did all the time go?
