Let’s Meet The Giants

SF Giants’ multimedia mash-up, Pence has fun (Around The Foghorn).
The Giants have fun off the field — at least, Hunter Pence does, as evidenced by our friends at Around The Foghorn. There’s a good way to get to know the G-men, I suppose.

San Francisco Giants move Nori Aoki to 15-day DL, Travis Ishikawa called up (Around The Foghorn).
The Giants are going to be without Nori Aoki when the Rockies face them this weekend. It seems like he could become one of those guys who’s a Rockies killer (gets on base a ton, is generally in the middle of every rally, etc.), so, welcome back to the big leagues, Travis Ishikawa!

Triple dose of success — Giants finally win a home series (SFGate).
The Giants won their home series against the San Diego Padres, who have been reeling as of late, losing seven of their last ten games after finally getting close to the Giants and Dodgers at the top of the NL West. Looks like the Giants might be getting hot at home at the exact wrong time for the Colorado Rockies. The Giants also hit four triples in a game the other day, the first time they’ve done that in 55 years.

Return of Matt Cain and Jake Peavy will make the Giants division favorites (Rant Sports).
Don’t forget those two are on the DL right now — and no-hitter holder Chris Heston is the one who is in Cain’s rotation spot. The Giants have an embarrassment of riches on the mound, and having those two back in addition to what they’ve already got just make a good team on the mound even better. Man.
