Colorado Rockies: 2020’s promotional schedule is announced

The Colorado Rockies announced their promotional schedule for the 2020 campaign, which includes multiple bobblehead nights.

The Colorado Rockies announced their promotional schedule for the 2020 season on Thursday. Included in the announcement are some bobblehead nights and the retirement ceremony of Larry Walker‘s uniform #33.

Starting at the beginning of the home slate, the Rockies will face the San Diego Padres and at the first home game, all fans will receive a magnet schedule for the upcoming season. The following night, Saturday, April 4, the first 15,000 fans through the gates will receive a Rockies puffy vest. On Sunday, the first 35,000 fans will receive a tote bag.

The first of six $1 Hot Dog Coupon nights will be on Tuesday, April 7 against the Texas Rangers. Larry Walker’s #33 will be retired on Sunday, April 19 when the Rockies will face Walker’s former team, the St. Louis Cardinals.

On Memorial Day weekend, the Rockies will face the Philadelphia Phillies and on that Sunday, the first 7,500 kids will receive a Charlie Blackmon kids jersey.

The first bobblehead night will be on Saturday, June 20 when the Rockies face the Padres. The first 15,000 fans will receive a Trevor Story bobblehead. The following day, on Father’s Day, the first 10,000 fans will receive a Father’s Day BBQ Apron. The second bobblehead night will on July 4th weekend as on Sunday, July 5th, the first 15,000 fans will receive a Charlie Blackmon USA bobblehead.

Saturday, July 18 will be Star Wars Night as the Rockies will have a special Star Wars ticket package as well as a Star Wars Darth Vader Beverage Wrap given to the first 10,000 fans into the gates to see the Rockies and the reigning NL East champions, the Atlanta Braves. The next day will have the third bobblehead giveaway and it will be a Jon Gray bobblehead given to the first 15,000 fans in the gates.

A Larry Walker bobblehead will be given to 20,000 fans on Saturday, August 1, when the Rockies face the San Francisco Giants. A little more than three weeks later, on Sunday, August 23, after the Rockies face the Los Angeles Dodgers, fans can stay after the game to watch the movie “The Sandlot” on the Coors Field jumbotron.

Two special ticket packages will be on that day as well as you can buy one for watching the movie and also get a Rockies blanket and another will be for Scout Day as the Rockies will be celebrating Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, their families, and friends by inviting them on to the field before the game for an exclusive Scout Day Parade.

As the season starts to draw to a close, on Saturday, September 12, there will be a special ticket package for the 8th Annual Brew Fest. As a part of it, you can enjoy the tastings from regional breweries and cast your vote for your favorite. The winner will receive a tap on The Rooftop for all April 2021 games – including Opening Day.
