Mark your calendars now for the Colorado Rockies Caravan, which will be making its way across the Mountain time zone in mid-January.

Last year, the Colorado Rockies took their show on the road, stopping to meet fans in places such as Golden, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque and Grand Junction. This year, some of the stops have changed but the emphasis on connecting the Rockies with fans throughout the region remains the same.

This year’s Caravan is scheduled for Saturday, January 13 through Saturday, January 20. Here are the cities and dates currently slated…

Colorado Rockies

Saturday, January 13 – Laramie, Greeley and Fort Collins

Sunday, January 14 – Grand Junction, Boise and Denver

Monday, January 15 – Denver

Tuesday, January 16 – Albuquerque and Denver

Wednesday, January 17 – Pueblo and Colorado Springs

Thursday, January 18 – Denver

Friday, January 19 – Denver

While much is not currently known about the 2018 caravan, last year’s caravan included manager Bud Black and players such as Jon Gray, DJ LeMahieu, Tony Wolters, Trevor Story and Chad Bettis.

We paid a visit to the Rockies caravan last season during its stop at the Coors Brewery in Golden. We had a chance to catch up with Bettis, LeMahieu and Wolters at the brewery and you can read some of our quotes from last year’s stop by clicking here. Some of the more interesting quotes come from teammates of Chad Bettis talking about his battle with testicular cancer, little knowing that Bettis would have to fight the disease again during spring training and miss more than the first half of the season.

The Caravan once again replaces Rockies Fest, which will not happen in 2018 as Coors Field undergoes more improvements, including a new scoreboard. These improvements coincide with Colorado’s 25th anniversary of becoming a part of Major League Baseball.
