It seems like just the other day that it was the end of March and I accepted this editor gig covering the Colorado Rockies. If only I knew what I was getting myself into when taking it…
Now, more than 850 posts later, the season is over (doesn’t it seem like it just started, like, three weeks ago?), and everyone is moving on to follow the Nuggets, Avalanche, and Broncos (well, they were following the Broncos already, weren’t they?).
Thank you so much for sticking with us all summer, reading everything we had to say about the Rockies, and the minor leagues, and whatever else came to mind — we really appreciate it, of course, and we’re lucky to have earned and kept your readership.
Some changes will be coming fairly soon, I’m sure, and we’ll be adding some new staff writers here at FanSided to cover the Colorado Rockies (as well as for all their sister blogs and sites in the MLB realm). But at least as of now, it’s been an incredible journey over here and I’m glad to have cut my teeth personally in this place, in this community (and yes, even on #RockiesTwitter).
A lot of winter content will be coming up throughout the next few weeks and months. You’ve already seen some of it — end-of-season awards, player evaluations, stuff like that. We’ll keep up with Rockies news, as always. And then there will be a few other things we’ll do this winter that will hopefully be fun.
All in all, though, it’s been a pleasure covering the Colorado Rockies and doing it with you! Please, if you haven’t already, connect with me here, so you can keep up on whatever’s happening this winter:
