Nolan Arenado. Arenado endured a little baby slump a few weeks ago and seems to be back now, going 8-for-23 with a home run over the last week. He has struck out six times during that same period, though, which is an uncharacteristically high rate for him.

Justin Morneau. Morneau is slashing .417/.462/.917 over the last week, with two doubles and two more triples to his name. The fleet of foot!! Seriously, credit to him for rebuilding the value that he’d lost during his long disabled list stint earlier this year.

Gonzalez Germen, Brooks Brown, Simon Castro. These three relievers combined for the last week in stats (entering Monday night’s game): 8 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 10 K. None of the three were significantly in the Rockies’ plans at the start of the year (well, perhaps Brown), but all three have certainly had their moments this season. And, special congrats to Germen on his first career Major League save in Los Angeles last Wednesday.

Jorge De La Rosa. De La Rosa was a tough luck loser, but two runs in eight innings is a very, very good start. Over the last 30 days, De La Rosa has been equally as good: 5 games/5 starts, 33 IP, 31 H, 11 R, 11 ER, 9 BB, 28 K, 3.00 ERA, 1.21 WHIP.
