Let’s Meet The Cardinals
You know the Cardinals already, but some things are going on (especially late breaking stuff!) that you should probably know about. So let’s get to know the Cardinals.
The very very very biggest, is this, updated on Wednesday night after the Cardinals’ game:
BREAKING: Holliday leaves game with torn quad. Updated info here @KevinModelski #Cardinals #stlcards http://t.co/mKasfsEnWd

Obviously, a torn quad is bad — especially since Matt Holliday has already suffered a similar injury earlier this year (he actually hurt it the first time in Denver in June, bizarrely). The Cardinals are going to need an outfielder with a good bat to replace him.
Boy, if the Rockies knew of any outfielders with good bats to replace him…
WAIT A MINUTE. The Rockies have precisely that man, though he currently plays right field and not left field. That’s, of course, Carlos Gonzalez.
Yeah, seriously, no offense Rockies but you should probably pull the trigger on this one. Perhaps (all speculation, no facts yet) we already have — or very soon will — see CarGo’s last game as a member of the Colorado Rockies.
