The Colorado Rockies’ rookie ball affiliate welcomed a big time prospect back to professional baseball this week, and it was a great thing for the organization.

All-Star Game voting is now complete, so you better have laid down some votes for some Grand Junction Rockies to represent the club at the Pioneer League All Star Game, which will take place August 4 in Spoke, Washington.

The last week (5-2): Hey, stay hot, Baby Rox! Entering play Saturday night, the Grand Junction Rockies were 5-2 in their last week, including taking three of four games on the road in Billings against the Mustangs, and handily defeating the Ogden Raptors in the first two games of their four-game series back in Grand Junction.
Overall, the club is now 20-15, and currently in second place in the South division of the Pioneer League, behind only the Orem Owlz whoa re 22-13. The Baby Rox are equal opportunity home and road winners, going 10-8 away from Grand Junction, and 10-7 back in the friendly confines of Sam Suplizio Stadium.
