The Rockies are desperately hoping this is the season Chase Dollander breaks out and they need it in the worst way.

The hard-throwing right-hander tossed two complete innings in Tuesday's game, surrendering one hit and one walk while punching out two batters.

The leadoff single to Adam Frazier was the only hit allowed. He was stranded at first when Jose Siri grounded into a double play to end the inning.

He threw a nasty pitch to Vaughn Grissom in the first inning on a 1-1 count. The broadcast called it a cutter, but it looked more like a slider/slurve—the kind where the bottom just falls out.

Colorado jumped ahead early when Cole Carrigg made the most of his chance. He singled to right field on a 1-1 count, then came around to score on Ryan Ritter's RBI double.

Carrigg swiped second base while T.J. Rumfield was at the dish.

Rockies reliever Seth Halvorsen struggled with his command after being away from game action for so long. The reliever surrendered an RBI triple to Logan O'Hoppe, giving the Angels a 2-1 lead.

After walking Siri, his afternoon ended abruptly. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, giving up two runs on one hit and three walks.
