It’s obvious to everyone, the Colorado Rockies need all the help they can get. Now, and in the future.

And one player they’re hoping will make a big different for the franchise in the future is former top draft pick Charlie Condon. Condon was injured in spring training, but, he brought the franchise some good news when he played in his first game of 2025 earlier this week.

Condon appeared in two at-bats for the ACL Rockies in an Arizona Camp League game where he went 2-for-2 with a double a a stolen base and two RBIs. That alone is exciting news for Colorado fans after Condon broke his wrist early in spring training.

Condon was the No. 3 overall pick of the Rockies in 2024 out of Georgia and played in 25 games for the Spokane Chiefs last summer. He struggled a bit at Single A, but, was projected to play this season at AA for the first half of the summer before being sidelined with the injury in camp.

Where Condon might be designated for this summer is still up in the air, but as the No. 2 Prospect in Colorado’s system, there’s no question the franchise is hoping he’ll make a meteoric rise to the big leagues and will help the franchise turn around sooner rather then later.

In other injury news, SS Ezequiel Tovar and infielders Adam Schunk and Tyler Freeman are all starting Minor League Rehab Assignments today.
