The festivities were fun, and the atmosphere was special. But the end result was more heartbreak for the Colorado Rockies.

Saturday at Coors Field, the Rockies honored 30 years of first games at Coors, with throwback music, throwback prices and Colorado hero Dante Bichette. And yet, it wasn’t enough to beat the Cincinnati Reds.

In a game of long ball reminiscent of Coors Field history, the Rockies fell to the Reds 6-4.

Despite a monster shot from Michael Toglia and Adeal Amador’s first career blast, the Rockies couldn’t keep up with the Reds, who touched up Antonio Senzatela for eight hits, four runs and three homers.

Senzatela struggled again, while the Rockies’ offense came to life as Toglia and Amador, as well as Hunter Goodman had two hits each.

Still, the Rockies fell too 4-22 on the season, and lost their fifth straight game. Colorado will try and turn things around on Sunday when the Rockies host the Reds at 1:10 p.m. M.D.T. Ryan Feltner takes this bump for Colorado, while Nick Lodolo starts for the Reds.

The Rockies rain at home for a three-game set with the Braves starting Tuesday night in Denver.
