If the Colorado Rockies were going to turn their offensive woes around, it’s going to have to be in Los Angeles. That’s because the Rockies just went three straight games in San Diego without scoring a single run.

That’s right, the Rockies couldn’t get a run across the plate in three losses to the Padres, including a 6-0 defeat Sunday at Petco Park.

The Rockies succumbed to a two shit shutout by Michael King of the Padres, with Ezequiel Tovar and Michael Toglia managing the only hits for Colorado.

On the other end of things, Kyle Freeland had his second straight rough outing as he went five innings, giving up eight hits and five runs.

In all against the Padres, the Rockies didn’t manage to just get shut out for three games, but Colorado hitters struck out 23 times in the series, while leaving every single runner they had in scoring position stranded.

Now, Colorado (3-12) must try to get things jump-started against the L.A. Dodgers. The series starts on Monday with Antonio Senzatela starting against Dustin May. That game starts at 8:10 p.m. M.D.T. On Tuesday. The Rockies and Dodgers will also meet at 8:10 p.m. M.D.T. on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

Of course, playing the Dodgers is never easy, but it will be particularly difficult considering the Rockies’ offense is mired in a slump of epic proportions, And when you take into account how good the Dodger’s pitching is, things will be so tough for this Rockies squad.

After the three-game set at Dodger Stadium, the Rockies will have a short three-game weekend home stand against the Nationals before heading right back back on the road.
