The Colorado Rockies finally scored a run. In fact, they scored three. But, what was another crazy day in the life of the Colorado baseball club ended with yet another loss.
Monday night at Dodger Stadium, the Rockies broke a 30-inning scoreless streak, but came up short 5-3 as Antonio Senzatela suffered his third loss of 2025.
After being shut out by the Padres three straight games, many were left to wonder if the Rox would ever score again. They answered that when Kyle Farmer drove in Nick Martini in the sixth inning to finally break a an ugly offensive streak. Hunter Goodman added his third home run of the season in the seventh, but, it wasn’t enough to overcome early homers by Mookie Betts and Shohei Othani.

The loss was Colorado’s fourth straight as they dropped to 3-10 on the young season, and they’ll try to rebound when they face the Dodgers again Tuesday night at 8:10 p.m. M.D.T. Ryan Feltner takes the ,mound for the Rockies on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Colorado’s Monday in L.A. was not without drama early on. The team announced earlier that Kris Bryant was placed on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to April 13) with lumbar degenerative disc disease -- a lower back injury associated with the wear and tear of the spine.
Rockies’ Manager Bud Black said Bryant was placed on the IL for precautionary reasons and is expected to return at the end of the 10 days, but added that his back is something Bryant will likely need to manage going forward.
"A lot of players -- especially at this point in their career -- have to manage certain things in their body,” Black said to MLB.com. “I think Kris … had a real stringent back program that we’re hopeful put him in a good position this season. This is just an aggravation.
"We don’t want to take any step backwards by trying to push him through this one.”
With Bryant down, the Rockies called up their second player from AAA in as many days, as they selected the contract of catcher Braxton Fulford from Albuquerque. Fullford had already hit five homers in AAA this season.
Fullford became the fourth player for Albuquerque to make the big leagues this season, as star infielder Adeal Amador was added to the roster on Sunday and has started two straight games for the Rox. Amador went 0-for-3 on Monday night.
Amador and Fullford join Zac Veen and Chase Dollander as minor league prospects to already reach the bigs for the Rockies this season.
