For the second straight night in Texas, the Colorado Rockies were unable to give Warren Schaeffer his first win as interim manager.

Colorado managed just one run for the second straight night in a 4-1 loss to the Texas Rangers Tuesday in Arlington, Texas.

Josh Jung hit two homers as Colorado starter Kylle Freeland lost his sixth start of 2025. Freeland didn’t get any help from the Rockies’ offense as Colorado had five hits, but managed just four of those hits after Hunter Goodman drove in Jordan Beck to give the Rockies a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.

The loss dropped the Rockies to 7-35 on the season, and Schaeffer was unable to win his first game since Bud Black got fired on Sunday.
