The Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays are a very odd team, especially with their starting rotation. They have three starters with an ERA of 3.34 or better, which amounts to an ERA+ of 120 or better.

Their problem is that they don’t have another starter with an ERA+ better than 78, or 22 percent below league average.

Overall, they have a 4.01 ERA, which is 16th in baseball. But they desperately need some middle to back of the rotation help, which is exactly what Chad Kuhl would be for the Blue Jays.

They have some starters currently on the IL that will be with them next year, including prospects Nate Pearson and Julian Merryweather, so they will likely want more of a renal, which Kuhl also would be.

The St. Louis Cardinals

The Cardinals were relying on Jack Flaherty to be their ace this year and he has appeared in a total of eight innings. He won’t be returning any time soon considering that he was just moved from the 15-day IL to the 60-day IL earlier this week.

The rest of the rotation hasn’t been great either. Outside of Miles Mikolas and Adam Wainwright, none of their starters have an ERA+ better than league average. Overall, their team ERA is 3.99, or 15th in baseball.
