Target Field weather for the Colorado Rockies vs. Minnesota Twins: June 24-26

MINNEAPOLIS – The Colorado Rockies (30-40) conclude their two city road trip in Minneapolis, Minnesota against the Minnesota Twins (39-32) at Target Field this weekend.

The Rockies are coming off a series in Miami against the Marlins, where they were swept in three games. In the three games, they lost 9-8, 7-4, and 3-2.

The Twins are finishing their six-game homestand. In the first series, the Twins lost two of three to the Guardians.

For the weekend interleague matchup, the two clubs should avoid bad weather during the games but some storms will develop throughout the weekend when the clubs aren’t playing.

Minneapolis weather for Friday, June 24

The Target Field weather for the Colorado Rockies and Minnesota Twins will be good when the two clubs face each other at 7:10 PM C.T./6:10 PM M.T.

Temperatures will be in the low 90s throughout the game but they will be about 89 degrees at first pitch with a 15 percent chance of rain with winds blowing from right field to left field at about 10 MPH. Thunderstorms and gusty winds will develop overnight, though, and into the early afternoon on Saturday, according to The Weather Channel.

Colorado will send Germán Márquez (3-5, 6.16 ERA) to the mound and Minnesota will oppose with Dylan Bundy (4-3, 5.17 ERA).

Minneapolis weather for Saturday, June 25

On Saturday, the Target Field weather will be good for the Rockies and Twins after the morning thunderstorms.

Temperatures at game time (6:15 PM C.T./5:15 PM M.T.) will be much cooler but still a pleasant 79 degrees with no chance of rain but winds blowing out to right field at about 15 MPH. By the time the game ends, temperatures will be in the low 70s.

Antonio Senzatela (3-3, 4.42 ERA) will head to the mound for Colorado and opposing him will be Chris Archer (1-3, 3.44 ERA).

Note: The game will be nationally televised on FOX and not on AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain.

Minneapolis weather for Sunday, June 26

The Rockies and Twins will have to deal with some morning showers during pre-game prep but they should give way to partly cloudy skies later.

The high temperature will be about 81 degrees for the 1:10 PM C.T./12:10 PM M.T. game with winds blowing out to right between 10 and 20 MPH.

In the series finale, the Rockies will send Ryan Feltner (1-2, 5.46 ERA) to the mound against Joe Ryan (5-3, 3.00 ERA).

After Sunday, the Rockies will return home to face the Dodgers and D-Backs at home while the Twins will head out on the road to face the Guardians in five games in four days before returning back home next weekend.
