After a wild doubleheader on Wednesday against the Miami Marlins, the Colorado Rockies continue their seven-game homestand against the reigning World Series champion Atlanta Braves for a four-game series, which will include the on-field debut of Colorado’s City Connect uniforms.

Overall, Atlanta Braves and Colorado Rockies fans at Coors Field should have a good weather weekend at Coors Field for the first weekend of June.

Denver weather for Thursday, June 2

The Coors Field weather should be great for the Atlanta Braves and Colorado Rockies on Thursday evening.

The game will start at 6:40 PM M.T./8:40 PM E.T. and at game time, temperatures will be around 72 degrees with mostly sunny skies, according to The Weather Channel. There is only a 5-10 percent chance of rain showers and winds will be blowing in from left center field at 5-10 MPH. Temperatures will fall into the low 60s by the time the game will be ending.

For Atlanta, Ian Anderson (3-3, 4.34 ERA in nine starts) will toe the slab and Colorado will oppose with Austin Gomber (2-5, 5.51 ERA in nine starts).

Denver weather for Friday, June 3

The Coors Field weather for the Braves and Rockies won’t be quite as nice as it will be on Thursday but it will still be very pleasant.

Temperatures at game time (again at 6:40 PM M.T./8:40 PM E.T.) will be around 70 degrees with mostly cloudy skies. There is a slight chance (20 percent) of rain than falls down to five percent by 9 PM M.T. Winds will be blowing out to left center field at about 10 MPH.

The Braves will send their best starter to the mound in Max Fried (5-2, 3.10 ERA in 10 starts) and Colorado will oppose Fried with their best starter of the season as well with Chad Kuhl (4-2, 3.56 ERA in nine starts).

Denver weather for Saturday, June 4

On Saturday, the Coors Field weather will be great for the Braves and Rockies, who will be debuting their new City Connect uniforms.

Game time will be 30 minutes later (7:10 PM M.T./9:10 PM E.T.) and temperatures will be in the mid-70s around game time with partly cloudy skies. Winds will be blowing in from left field between 5-10 MPH. By the time the game ends, temperatures will be in the low- to mid-60s.

Spencer Strider will be making his second MLB start (1-2, 3.45 ERA in 12 appearances, one start) and he will face the Colorado native Kyle Freeland (1-5, 4.96 ERA in 10 starts) to debut the City Connect uniforms.

Denver weather for Sunday, June 5

The Colorado Rockies will also wear their City Connect uniforms against the Atlanta Braves in the finale of their four-game series.

For the 1:10 PM M.T./3:10 PM E.T. game, temperatures will be around 79 degrees with some clouds before giving way to mostly sunny skies. Winds will be a big stronger as they will be blowing at 10 to 15 MPH from left center field. There is a 25 percent of rain in the early morning but the chance of rain falls to less than five percent.

Charlie Morton (3-3, 5.47 ERA in 10 starts) will do the starting pitching for the Braves and Colorado has yet to announce their starting pitcher but it will likely be Ryan Feltner (1-1, 3.71 ERA in three MLB starts).

Overall, the Braves and Rockies will have a good weather weekend while Colorado’s City Connect uniforms will be on display.

Both teams will be idle on Monday (only six games will be played in the sport) before Colorado heads to San Francisco for a three-game series with the Giants and the Braves return home to face the Oakland A’s.
