Los Angeles Dodgers — Corey Seager

2021 slash line against Colorado: .439/.531/.610 with OPS of 1.140 (18-for-41 at the plate)

Career against Colorado: .322/.403/.547 with an OPS of .950 (276 at-bats)

Sure, we could have put a few Dodgers into this category, but Seager put up a monster year against the Rockies that stood out in a big way.

Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager started off hot against the Colorado Rockies in 2021

Seager began the season by going 8-for-12 against the Rockies in the opening three-game series at Coors Field, then went 2-for-3 versus Colorado pitching the next time the teams met. A 10-for-15 stretch at the plate is hard to beat, so Rockies fans can at least take solace in the fact that Seager cooled off against Colorado (8-for-26) the rest of the campaign (if you can really call that ‘cooling off’).

There is plenty of talk about where Seager may head after this season as he joins Trevor Story in an impressive list of free agent shortstops. Rockies fans can only hope that Seager lands somewhere outside of the NL West.

Just a thought though … he sure would look good in purple pinstripes, wouldn’t he?
