Opening Day Promotions on DraftKings and Fanduel

One of the great things about betting on DraftKings and Fanduel is they’ve been very forward with enticing promotions, and if you find the right ones you can win some very easy money. Here are a few of the baseball-related ones you can find easily on both apps.

Fanduel

7th Inning Stretch Insurance

This promotion was practically made for the Rockies. Once you opt-in to the promotion, all you have to do is place a bet on the money line for any team on any game before the game starts. If the team you bet on is winning at the 7th inning stretch, but they blow the game after that and lose, you get your money back in the form of site credit.

So if you bet $25 on the Rockies to win Saturday, and they’re ahead 4-2 going into the bottom of the 7th after an awesome Jon Gray gem, but the ghosts of Bryan Shaw and Jake McGee haunt them and we lose 5-4, then you basically get your money back. The Rockies would never blow a late-game lead, now would they?

The promo’s good from July 23rd thru August 9th, so if you’re going to be placing money line bets on Fanduel just make sure to opt-in beforehand!

World Series Win Bonus

This one feels a little less favorable to me. You place a $50 bet on a team to win the World Series, and for every game, they win during their first 10 games you get $5 back in site credit. So if you bet $50 on the Rockies to win the World Series at +16000, and they go 5-5, you get $25 back in site credit. Not all that bad if the team you bet on gets off to a great start! But at the same time, I’d almost rather have the money line bet.
