3. Vs. Houston Astros (July 2-3), @ Houston Astros (August 6-7)

Technically, these are separate series but I’m going to put them in the same category for the sake of this article. Similar to this season, the Rockies will play a two home, two away set against the Houston Astros.

And hopefully also like this season, the series will be must-watch baseball.

The first series against the Astros this season was split. Both games were close going into late innings. The first game went into extras where the Astros pulled away for a 8-2 victory.

The next night was a similar game but a different outcome. It ended on a walk-off home run by Charlie Blackmon.

Also very similar to that series, this one in 2019 will have fireworks … literally. The Rockies will be putting on postgame firework shows to celebrate Independence Day at Coors Field (July 2-3).

The second series in Houston this year was also split 1-1. So, if history repeats itself, these series will be close again.
