As the Colorado Rockies continue their march towards earning a playoff spot, going 11-3 in their last 14 games, it can be easy to lose track of what’s been going on in the minors. Not to worry, though. We have you covered.

The short-season Class-A affiliate for the Colorado Rockies, the Boise Hawks, who currently own a record of 23-22, have recently announced that they will be sending three players to the All-Star Game on August 7 as part of the Northwest League All-Star squad. The game will be played in Grand Junction, Colo., home of Colorado’s rookie league team.

Let’s take a look at the three players that will be representing the Hawks in the game.

For Daniel Jipping, a 22-year-old out of Central Michigan University, this will be his second All-Star Game appearance for the Hawks. His first also featured him winning the Home Run Derby last year. He boasts six homers and 10 stolen bases through 38 games so far this season. He has not been caught stealing once yet this year.

For third baseman Danny Edgeworth, this will be his first All-Star Game appearance. The 23-year-old leads the team with 12 doubles. The Nashville native has also boasted a .324 OBP and a .276 batting average through 40 games so far this year.

Lastly, the youngest of the three, shortstop Terrin Vavra will be entering his first All-Star Game in his young career. The former third-round pick out of the University of Minnesota has a .325 batting average on the year through 21 games. Most notably, he crushed a walk-off grand slam that gave the Hawks a victory over Vancouver three weeks ago.

These three players will all have the honor of representing the green and orange of the Boise Hawks in the All-Star Game next week. And maybe, in due time, they will be cashing those colors in for some black, purple and white.
