Batting Average

Here are the top five teams leading the league in batting average:

  1. Boston Red Sox (.267)
  2. Atlanta Braves (.264)
  3. Tampa Bay Rays (.260)
  4. Pittsburgh Pirates (.259)
  5. San Francisco Giants (.259)

The Rockies are 27th with a .228 batting average.

The only team from the list of league leaders in home runs are the Red Sox.

Atlanta (29-19) sits atop the NL East. They rank 12th in home runs with 57.

Tampa Bay (22-25) is third in the AL East, right there with Toronto. They rank 25th in home runs with 46.

Pittsburgh (27-22) is third in the NL Central, 3.5 games behind the Brewers. They rank 15th in home runs with 54.

San Francisco (24-26) is third in the NL West, two games behind the Rockies. They rank 20th in home runs with 51.
