You couldn’t have possibly thought the Astros weren’t making this list. Moving away from the NL the Houston Astros are the biggest threat to the Rockies from the AL. They just won the World Series and will most definitely still be on that high, but something tells me this team is will be different than others after winning it all.

If you saw the determination they had in 2017 to go all the way, you know that they will be a tough team to knock down this year. In all honesty, what’s not to love? The pitching staff was outstanding with Dallas Keuchel, Lance McCullers, and Charlie Morton putting up a combined 411 innings. The newly acquired Justin Verlander put up strong starts against the Red Sox, Yankees, and the NLCS Champion Dodgers with his first season with the Astros leading him to a 5-0 record with a 1.06 ERA in the regular season.

Now let’s talk the incredible offense this team has. Jose Altuve, George Springer, Carlos Correa, and Alex Bregman. Need I say more? These four men have got to be the scariest to face during a game. Hitting a combined nine home runs during the World Series (Springer hitting three) they have got to be the biggest threat to any team in the AL. One thing this team showed is that you really do have to trust the process.
