3. Milwaukee Brewers

At this moment in time all I can say about the Brewers offseason is wow.

They just acquired outfielder Christian Yelich and signed Lorenzo Cain so GM David Stearns is really trying to turn this team around. 2017 was a good year for Milwaukee despite not making the playoffs. They finished 2nd in the NL Central, but not without a fight. They did hold first place for quite sometime while the Cubs were still hungover from their World Series championship. They also put up a fight for the second NL Wild Card spot.

You can most likely expect Travis Shaw and Eric Thames, who put up 30+ homers last season, to do the same. They’ll have to deal with Jimmy Nelson being out due to surgery, but they have the dependable Zach Davies. The Brewers are in the top 3 due to the fact that they have made extremely great offseason moves in order to better their team. Other than the Dbacks, they pose the biggest threat to the Rockies when it comes to the Wild Card spot.

Our very own Noah Yingling discussed what the Brewers recent moves could mean for the Rockies in this article from yesterday.
