Outfielders

(5): Gerardo Parra, Charlie Blackmon, Carlos Gonzalez, Ian Desmond, Raimel Tapia

I have Raimel Tapia on here because I don’t think that you need 13 pitchers on a postseason roster, especially when you only have 3 or 4 starters going on it. The Rockies have no reason to have 13 pitchers on a postseason roster especially when you have numerous long relievers.

However, I could be wrong (it wouldn’t be the first time and it definitely won’t be the last) and Bud Black could decide to go with 13 pitchers. In that case, Tapia would most likely be dropped from the roster.

Starting Pitchers

(4): Tyler Anderson, Tyler Chatwood, German Marquez, Jon Gray

With a five-game series, the Rockies could realistically go with three starters with the way the schedule is laid out but I don’t think Bud Black would do that.

Relievers

(8): Greg Holland, Pat Neshek, Jake McGee, Mike Dunn, Scott Oberg, Kyle Freeland, Antonio Senzatela, and Chris Rusin

If you have Freeland, Senzatela, Rusin, and Bettis on the roster, all of them can pitch multiple innings and, realistically, all can make a spot start, if needed. For this reason, I don’t think that nine relievers would be needed.
