We continue our top 32 moments in Colorado Rockies franchise history with part seven of our commemoration the Rocktober streak from 2007. On this date in the streak, the Rockies faced the San Diego Padres in the finale of a three game series in San Diego. The previous game (win number seven in the streak) was a 6-2 Rockies victory. They would go into Sunday, September 23rd, 2007, looking for a sweep but they would have to face a future Hall-of-Famer to achieve their eighth straight win.

The Colorado Rockies will face the San Diego Padres at Petco Park later today at 6:40 MST and 10 years ago today, they also were facing the Padres in San Diego. The Rockies starting lineup, on this day in 2007, would look like this.

A Recap of the first two innings

In the first two innings of play, Greg Maddux would only give up a walk and a stolen base to Matsui to lead off the game. His counterpart, Jeff Francis, would allow two hits but nothing would come of it. However, in the third inning, both teams would break the scoreless tie.
