DENVER, CO – JULY 08: Starting pitcher Jeff Hoffman /

Sunday, July 16, 2017 (1:10 E.T.)

Starters: Jeff Hoffman (5-1, 4.15 ERA) vs. Steven Matz (2-2, 3.05)

What To Watch For: Young Arms

Hoffman, 24, and Matz, 26, are impressive young pitchers. Both have performed beyond expectations this year.

In the last outing for Hoffman, one of the four rookie pitcher for the Rockies, he earned a no decision against the Chicago White Sox going seven innings with seven hits, four earned runs and two strikeouts.

His road ERA is 1.67, which is one of the best in the MLB. Look for him to continue his success on the road in the Big Apple.

Matz is another great pitcher who is part of that amazing starting rotation for the Mets. In his last outing, he lost to the St. Louis Cardinals going only four and a third innings with seven hits, five earned runs and one strikeout.

Both of these young arms will be fun to watch.
