Tuesday marked day two of the 2017 MLB Draft and saw 240 young men hear their names called. Rounds three through ten took place today and the Colorado Rockies had a selection in every round. Let’s take a look at those players drafted in the second day by the Rockies.

ROUND 3, PICK 86: WILL GADDIS

The Rockies first pick of day two was used to select Will Gaddis, a right-handed pitcher out of Furman University. Gaddis is listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds. He was born on March 12, 1996.

MLB.com scouted Gaddis as early as 2014 when he pitched masterfully in a high school game against Donny Everett. He has hit as high as 96 on the gun with his fastball, but topped off around 88-92 this spring.

He is a four-pitch pitcher with a fastball, changeup, curveball, and a cutter. Scouts believe he has the potential to be a solid number four starter for a team in the future. The pick was worth approximately $646,100.
